Treats

( number of products: 13 )

Doctor Horse treats for horses fall into two groups. For every day there are natural treats in one-litre packs, made in collaboration with the artisan workshop Końska Cukierenka. For special occasions, such as a reward after a competition, a horse's birthday or a gift, there are hand-decorated doughnuts, Pączuś treats and gingerbread biscuits.

Natural horse treats with no added sugar

The one-litre doypacks hold treats in three flavours: banana, apple with cinnamon and carrot. Fruit and vegetables make up 50 to 70% of the recipe, and that is where the sweetness comes from, because no sugar is added. The rest of the recipe is made up of oat flakes, wheat bran, linseed, sunflower oil and wheat flour. The apple flavour also contains cinnamon. All the treats are vegan and contain no preservatives, and they are made by hand in a Polish artisan workshop.

The doypack has a zip closure and protects the treats from moisture and loss of aroma. The pack can also be reused. Anyone who wants a supply at the stable can choose the Treat Lover's Kit with all three flavours.

Decorated horse treats as a reward and a gift

Under the decoration there is a fruit and cereal base. Most of these treats are made half from fresh apples, with oat flakes, linseed and wheat bran added. The decoration is purely ornamental. Most often it is icing, on some designs with sugar sprinkles, and on the Herbal Doughnuts it also includes mint, nettle, carrot, beetroot, sesame and coconut flakes. Every piece is decorated by hand, which is why individual treats may look slightly different. Small cracks in the decoration do not affect the quality.

The designs change with the seasonal collections. Their purpose stays the same, though: a reward after training, a competition or a riding exam, a gift for a horse's birthday or for the festive season, or a decoration for a keepsake photo shoot.

How to feed treats to a horse

The feeding rate depends on the treat. Most often it is one piece a day, although some also have a weekly limit. The full list of ingredients and the analytical constituents are on the page of each product, and for most decorated treats so is the recommended feeding rate.

Because of their size, some of the doughnuts and Pączuś treats are not suitable for foals and small ponies. Decorated treats should be stored in a dry place, in a tightly closed pack. Their shelf life is 9 months from the date of production.
