Doctor Horse products for horses cover all of everyday care: the coat, mane and tail, hooves and skin. Most of them come in two sizes. The large packs are intended for the stable, while the small ones, 100 ml or 100 g, are easy to take to a competition or a camp.
Cosmetics for a horse's coat, mane and tail
Clean Horse horse shampoos are for washing the coat, mane, tail and hooves of horses of every colour, including piebalds, skewbalds and spotted horses. For grey, black, bay and chestnut horses there are also separate versions, with pigments matched to the colour of the coat. When it is too cold for a bath or there is no water nearby, a dry shampoo that needs no rinsing is enough. Mr & Mrs Horse foam, in turn, is intended for intimate hygiene.
The mane and tail need detangling above all, and mane and tail conditioners make that easier. Along the way they also give the hair shine. Before a competition LiK mousse is useful too, as it makes button plaits easier to put in, along with silicone bands to secure the plaits. The coat can also be brightened with a glitter mist, which sparkles beautifully on a horse not only on special occasions but every day as well.
Hoof care products
The hoof horn needs regular oiling. The simplest option is Strong Hooves hoof oil, in a classic version, with herbs or with glitter. The hoof paste, which is applied with a sponge, has a thicker consistency.
It is a different matter when the frog turns soft and smells unpleasant. That is when Blue Hooves care products for thrush are used, as a spray or as an ointment.
Skin and leg care for horses
Skin on the pasterns that turns red and flakes is cared for with GrudBye ointment and spray for mud fever. Where a rug or a girth rubs, Plaster balm for rubbed skin is applied, and it forms a protective layer on the skin. Muzzle&GO balm was developed for caring for the nostrils and the delicate skin of the muzzle, and ParaSun cream contains zinc oxide, which is a mineral sun filter.
In summer insects join in. The mist, cream and shampoo from the Too Fresh for Flies line mask the horse's odour that attracts them. The line also includes a lick for the warmer months. After bites, Bite Relief balm soothes the skin. For leg recovery after exercise, and for dealing with windgalls and swelling, there is Super Clay, a leg clay with mineral clays, arnica, aloe vera and essential oils.
