ParaSun - sunscreen for horses 100g
- The sun is warming up, and the horse's nose is reddening like a strawberry? Parasun goes into action - lightly spreads, protects and saves the day.
ParaSun is a vegan cream for horses for summer days that spreads easily, developed with the delicate skin of the muzzle, nose and ears in mind. It contains zinc oxide, which has the properties of a mineral filter that reflects UV radiation. It is particularly suited to horses with light-coloured skin that are prone to sunburn.
Ingredients and their properties
Zinc oxide has the properties of a mineral filter that reflects UV radiation. Moisturising agents, including hyaluronic acid and glycerine, have properties that moisturise the skin and counteract its drying out. D-panthenol has properties that support the regeneration of the epidermis and soothe irritation. Linseed oil has properties that limit moisture loss from the skin and strengthen it.
Why the muzzle needs separate attention in summer
The skin of the muzzle is thin and sensitive, which is why it feels the effect of the sun particularly strongly. Without protection, burns, drying out and cracking of the epidermis may occur. Regular care of this area on sunny days helps maintain the horse's comfort.
How to use ParaSun
Apply the cream to cleansed, dry skin 15 minutes before going out into the sun, covering the areas exposed to radiation: the nose, muzzle and ears. Repeat the application every 4 hours, as well as after heavy sweating, contact with water or rubbing. Before applying a new layer, gently remove the remains of the previous one. Store the cream in a tack trunk or grooming box, away from direct sunlight. Carry out a patch test before first use.
