Chew for horses mint
- Natural birch trunk with mint is a safe and healthy box toy that occupies the horse for a long time. Ideal for nervous horses and those that spend a lot of time in the stable.
The Mint natural birch chew is a natural birch log with the bark on, enriched with a topping of mint leaf. It is a safe stable toy that keeps a horse occupied for a long time, reduces boredom and satisfies the natural need to chew.
Why a horse needs a chew in the stable
Horses that spend a lot of time in a stable need something to do. Boredom can be behind vices such as weaving, box-walking or kicking at the door. A natural birch log gives safe, long-lasting occupation, reduces the boredom and tension that come with long periods spent stabled, and helps limit the development of vices. Slowly gnawing at the bark satisfies the natural need to chew.
The Mint topping
The topping of dried mint leaf gives the log its distinctive fresh scent and adds variety to play. Mint is traditionally associated with support for digestive comfort and with a fresh, herbal aroma. The log is carefully selected and dried, and the sharp edges are smoothed off for safety. Made in Poland.
Composition
Birch wood, isomalt, dried mint leaf.
Analytical constituents
Crude fibre: 96.7%.
How to give it
The log is best hung on the stable bars so that the horse has free access to it, with a constant supply of fresh water. Hung between two stalls, it keeps two horses occupied at once. No more than one chew at a time is recommended. The log should be replaced once the bark has been gnawed off or when the horse loses interest.
Important
Do not use with pregnant or lactating mares without consulting a vet.
