Isotonic Mash is a mash with added electrolytes, created to support hydration and the normal functioning of the horse's digestive system. The formula has been enriched with dried apple slices, which give the mixture its taste and aroma. It is a complementary feed for the whole year, especially for horses exposed to intense exercise, high temperatures and increased sweating.

Why electrolytes matter during exercise

During exercise the horse loses valuable minerals in its sweat, such as sodium, chloride, potassium and magnesium. The addition of electrolytes helps replenish their level and supports the maintenance of proper hydration of the body. The dextrose in the formula supports the absorption of the electrolytes, which makes their action even more effective.

The ingredients and their role in the formula

Wheat bran, sunflower, linseed, dried apple and camomile support the normal functioning of the digestive system and make the mash exceptionally palatable. The formula has been enriched with bee pollen and rosehips, ingredients valued for their nutritional properties and their content of antioxidants of natural origin. Isotonic Mash also provides highly digestible nutrients and dietary fibre. Thanks to the addition of apple and rosehip, the mash is readily eaten even by fussier horses. The formula contains no cereals, lucerne or molasses, and its low starch and sugar content fits the needs of horses that require a more controlled diet.
